The Reds accepted a fee for the Holland international, believed to be in the region of £6m, last week but the deal appeared to be off up until late on Monday when the player flew out to finalise contract details with the German club.A statement on the official Liverpool website confirmed: "The Dutch winger has penned a two and a half year deal with the Bundesliga outfit with the option of a further year.
"Everybody at Liverpool Football Club would like to wish Ryan the best of luck at his new club."
Another Year
"The 24-year-old striker signed on Tuesday a contract for two and a half years until June 30 2013 (plus an option for another year)," said a statement on Hoffenheim's website.Babel has made nine Barclays Premier League appearances this season, eight of them as a substitute, scoring once.
Babel has found it hard to establish himself as a regular at Anfield since joining from Ajax in July 2007. In total he made 91 Premier League appearances which brought him 12 goals.
