Montero loaned to Levante

Villarreal have agreed to loan young forward Jefferson Montero to fellow Primera Division side Levante until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old Ecuador international, who joined the Yellow Submarine from Independiente de Jose Toran in 2009, has made nine appearances for high-flying Villarreal this season.

In announcing the deal, Villarreal said on their website: "Jeff is one of the promising youngsters that the Submarine have and he will look to continue growing with Levante until the end of the season."
