Parker expects more wins

Scott Parker is confident West Ham United will beat relegation after being lifted by their new signings.

The Hammers produced a confident performance to pull themselves off the bottom of the Barclays Premier League table with a much-needed 3-1 win at Blackpool on Wednesday night. On-loan Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane scored on debut, while two other recent recruits in Wayne Bridge and Gary O'Neil were also solid.

Massive Result

"The additions we've made in January have improved us massively," Parker said.
"You look at us and we've got a strong squad, one which can go and win Premier League matches.
"It's a massive result for us but it would've been a massive result whatever the game would've been.
"We've got 14 games left and every one will be big for us.
"We fully deserved the win, we dominated in the first half and really controlled the game.
"We're absolutely ecstatic and hopefully we can build on this and really push up the table.
"When you win games, it breeds confidence and we haven't won many games this year.
"That feeling of winning is one we want to keep and hopefully we can do that."
