Genoa coach Davide Ballardini is hoping to stay at the club next season. Ballardini, who replaced the sacked Gian Piero Gasperini back in November, has yet to be offered a contract extension with his current deal ending this summer.
"I have received other offers but I would like to stay here," Ballardini said to Gazzetta dello Sport. "I still don't know where I will be next season."
Reports in Italy claim Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is looking to make a coaching change this summer. However, those rumours are not troubling Ballardini.
"The president is absolutely free to make his own decisions just as I am," he said. "We are all free people. I am grateful to Preziosi for bringing me here and we have a mutual respect, so what ever happens, happens."
Genoa have 39 points from 30 matches, putting them 12th in Serie A. They host Cagliari on Sunday.
