Blackburn's Indian owners admit they are worried by the prospect of relegation but insist the club will avoid relegation from the Premier League despite a daunting run in. Rovers' results have gone into free-fall since 23 January, when they were seventh in the table and nine points above the relegation zone.
Since that highpoint, the Lancashire club have failed to register a victory, taking just two points from six matches to leave themselves just one point clear of the drop zone. Rovers remaining eight games include matches against Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, but co-owner Venkatesh Rao remains confident the club can beat the drop.

"Of course we are worried but we have to play well and get together as a team, and we have to get out of the situation," he told the Lancashire Telegraph. "You have to win sometimes and you have to lose sometimes, but we have to come out of this situation, that's very sure.
"But we are always positive and we will be positive. We are absolutely committed to the club and that won't be changing any day."
Rovers owners attracted criticism shortly after their takeover of the club last year by abruptly firing then boss Sam Allardyce and replacing him with assistant Steve Kean.
