The Trotters went through a five-match winless run at the turn of the year but now appear to have regained their consistency, having beaten Everton, drawn with Newcastle United and picked up a couple of wins in the FA Cup to advance to the quarter-finals.
Jaaskelainen is excited about what the next couple of months could hold in store as Bolton look to reach Wembley and improve on their current standing of seventh in the league.
Last Season
"I said back in January when we had a bad run that all we really needed was to get a win to get back on track," the veteran goalkeeper told the club's official website.
"We should be flying now until the end of the season. We have 10 games coming up but they are not thick and fast, so we should be well prepared.
"We're in a good position to build on last season. We wanted a top-half finish - and I'd be disappointed if we didn't get that now.
"I wouldn't say I'd take that though, we should be aiming as high as we can."
