Bayern Munich announced today that their winger Arjen Robben had resumed training after missing out on a return to action with the Netherlands due to an adductor muscle injury. Bayern said the 27-year-old attacker could now take part in his side's Bundesliga game at home to Borussia Mochengladbach on Saturday.

Due to a six-month absence with a thigh problem, Robben has not played for the Netherlands since finishing on the losing side in the FIFA World Cup™ final against Spain in South Africa last July. Last week he dropped out of the Dutch squad for their UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying double-header with Hungary (March 25 and 29).
Meanwhile, veteran goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt revealed that he may retire at the end of the season, after losing his place in the Bayern Munich first team. "I still want to play football, I still feel in top form and I can imagine myself continuing next season," Butt, 36, told the club website. We'll see how the situation evolves and we'll take a decision with the new coach (Jupp Heynckes)."

Butt's contract expires at the end of the current season but he confirmed that he would remain with Bayern in any case, as the Bavarian giants have offered him a role within the club's youth academy.
Signed from Benfica in July 2008 as back-up to Michael Rensing following the retirement of Bayern great Oliver Kahn, Butt was promoted to number one in the spring of 2009 by Jurgen Klinsmann, who was sacked shortly afterwards. He kept the goalkeeper's jersey until last December, when Klinsmann's successor, Louis van Gaal, turned to youngster Thomas Kraft.
Butt, a member of the Germany squad that finished third at last year's FIFA World Cup, has also played for Hamburg (1997-2001) and Bayer Leverkusen (2001-07). He is notable for having scored 26 goals in 381 Bundesliga matches, all from the penalty spot.
Despite the emergence of 22-year-old Kraft, Butt encouraged Bayern to recruit 24-year-old Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who is currently first choice for Germany at international level. "He's an extraordinary goalkeeper with lots of experience in spite of his age," said Butt.
