Dirk Kuyt equalised with a penalty in the last minute of injury time as Arsenal's title hopes took another dent on Sunday.
Moments earlier Robin van Persie looked to have earned the Gunners all three points when he converted a spot kick after Jay Spearing had brought down Cesc Fabregas in the box.
But a frantic finale saw referee Andre Marriner give a penalty at the other end as Emmanuel Eboue fouled Lucas.
On a day when Fabio Aurelio, Jamie Carragher and Andy Carroll all left the pitch injured for Liverpool, Dalglish hailed the fighting spirit from his team.
"I don't think there's another team anywhere that would show the attitude and commitment we showed out there," he said.
"They went through a wee bit of adversity, losing Fabio Aurelio early on and putting a 17-year-old (Jack Robinson) boy on at left-back. Losing the captain, having a right-back who's only 18 (John Flanagan), losing a centre forward, losing a goal eight minutes into injury-time, and they still didn't want to accept they were going to get nothing from the game.
"I don't think I can speak any higher than that. Everybody will be sat there proud at having seen their team produce a performance like that with the attitude and commitment."
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger accepted that his side had again failed to find their stride after the recent home draws against Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers.
He said: "Liverpool defended very deeply. Every time we had the ball we played eight against ten men in their half. You have to respect the quality of the defending as well.
"We tried everything to create chances. We had a few and that is what these kind of games are about. Sunderland and Liverpool both came with the same attitude. At the moment we have problems to create plenty of chances, it's true. But we are maybe jaded a bit physically as well. You could see that some players have played around 40-45 games and we lack a little bit of a change of pace, but we tried very hard."
