Bolton Wanderers to make bid for Thiago Alcantara from FC Barcelona?

Bolton are reportedly preparing to make a £7million bid for Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara

The highly-rated 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks, with reports suggesting he could join the Gunners as part of a deal that would take Cesc Fabregas to Camp Nou this summer.

Alcantara is highly rated by the Spanish champions, but with his chances of first-team football at the club limited, it is thought that he could be sold in order to help the Catalans raise additional funds to sign the likes of Fabregas and Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez.

But according to The People, Bolton boss Owen Coyle is preparing to make a £7m for the Spain Under-21 international.

Coyle has reportedly put together a package to bring the youngster to the Reebok Stadium and is willing to include a buy-back clause in the deal which would give Barca the option of re-signing Alcantara in a few years time.
