The agent of Brazil striker Neymar, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, has said that if the 19-year-old was his son, he would want him to join Real Madrid
Chelsea and Los Blancos are both keen on the young Santos forward, with reports in one of Sunday morning's newspapers suggesting the Premier League club are preparing to make a £30million bid for the teenager (see below).
But his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, believes the highly-rated Brazil international should join Jose Mourinho's side.
"If he was my son, I would want him at Madrid," Ribeiro told AS. They are the best club in the world, they have no equal.
"It's the maximum a player could want. I know their president [Florentino Perez] well, he is a serious man and a great fan."
Neymar in recent days has recently played down talk of a move to Europe, as Barcelona also show interest in luring him away from the South America club.
But Ribeiro, who has previously stated that the player he believes can become as good as Lionel Messi is happy at Santos, has admitted that a move to Europe would benefit his development.
"Neymar is not the best in the world as he is not playing in Europe," he added. "But, offers are not lacking."
