Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono has signed a contract extension with the Bergamaschi outfit, the club confirmed today.
The 48-year-old has penned a two-year deal which will keep him in Bergamo until June 2013. Colantuono joined Atalanta last summer and led the club to automatic promotion to Italy's top-flight after a one-year absence.
Considering the great work he has done this season, it was a must for us to extend his contract.
Antonio Percassi, Atalanta president
Atalanta finished at the top of Serie B this season with 79 points from 42 games. "Stefano Colantuono is the right coach for Atalanta," Atalanta president Antonio Percassi said.
