Evra: I have to improve

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra accepts he will have to buck up his ideas next season.

Evra collected his fourth Barclays Premier League winners' medal as part of United's record 19th triumph last month but the 30-year-old also experienced Champions League final defeat for the third time when the Red Devils were beaten by a devastating Barcelona performance at Wembley.
However, as far as his own form goes, Evra believes there is plenty of room for improvement.

"This was not my best season," he said. "I can say that. I can be honest with myself. I missed pre-season and only had a week's training before I played my first game. People forget that.
"Some of the other players had about five weeks' training working on their fitness and played some friendly games.
"Although I trained during my holiday, having only one week's training meant it was difficult at the beginning of the season.
"In the middle and towards the end, I felt back to my best but I need to do much better next season."
