Potters manager Tony Pulis revealed last week that former captain Faye would be moving on from the club at the end of his contract.
Icelandic striker Gudjohnsen has also been allowed to leave Stoke after failing to make an impact since joining at the end of last summer's transfer window.
Gudjohnsen signed a one-year deal to link up with Stoke from Monaco, but made only four substitute appearances in the Barclays Premier League.

The forward subsequently joined Fulham on loan in January and is now waiting to find out where he will be playing his football next season.Defender Sonko has made just one Carling Cup appearance for the Potters in the past two seasons and spent the first half of the most recent campaign on loan at Portsmouth.
He made a total of 17 appearances for Stoke after arriving from Reading in 2008 and has also been allowed to leave at the end of his contract.
