Higuain wants Real Madrid CF to sign Chelsea FC target Aguero

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain says he wants to be playing alongside Sergio Aguero at the Bernabeu next season

Chelsea and Barcelona are also keen on the Atletico Madrid striker, who looks set to leave the Vicente Calderon this summer after handing in a transfer request.

Despite the Argentina international reportedly telling his Atletico team-mates that he wants to join Jose Mourinho's side, the club have dismissed reports that they will sell their prize asset to their city rivals.

But now Higuain, who is currently with the Argentina national squad - including Aguero - ahead of the Copa America, says he wants his compatriot to join him at Real.

"It is not my decision [to sign him], it is the president’s [Florentino Perez]," he told AS. "But I would like to have Kun Aguero by my side."

Manchester City and Juventus are also believed to be interested in Aguero.

Spanish champions Barcelona recently claimed their interest in the striker would not mean that their bid to sign Giuseppe Rossi from Villarreal would collapse.

However, the Catalan giants on Thursday revealed they only have €45million to spend on new players this summer and with Cesc Fabregas their priority, it would appear that Pep Guardiola's side will no longer be in the running for 'Kun'.
