Hughes quits Fulham

Mark Hughes has stepped down as Fulham manager after just one season at the helm.

Hughes replaced Roy Hodgson at Craven Cottage last summer and enjoyed a solid first year with the club, recovering from a slow start to guide Fulham to an eighth-placed finish in the Barclays Premier League.
The club briefly flirted with relegation but a strong run of form saw them surge away from the drop zone in the second half of the season.
myself nor my representative have approached or have been approached by another club.
"This decision to leave Fulham has not been influenced by any outside party."
A club statement read: "Fulham Football Club can confirm that Mark Hughes has provided notice, under the terms of his contract, to leave the club at the end of June. After discussions with Mark the club has agreed to accept this notice."

Hughes joined the club after being sacked by Manchester City in the 2009-10 campaign.
The Welshman's signings included the likes of Moussa Dembele, Carlos Salcido, Philippe Senderos and Steve Sidwell.
Last week it was announced that Fulham had qualified for the Europa League via the Fair Play table, but Hughes will not be managing the team in a competition they reached the final of in 2009/10.
