Liverpool FC could let Raul Meireles join Inter Milan or Juventus FC - report

Liverpool could reportedly sell Raul Meireles this summer, with a move to Juventus or Inter Milan a possibility

Meireles is a huge favourite with many Liverpool fans but reports over the last week in Italy have suggested the 28-year-old could be sold to Juventus in a £13.5million deal.

And according to the Daily Mail, the rumours in Italy may well turn out to be true, as the Portugal international is said to be frustrated by the Merseysiders' failure to offer him a new and improved deal.

When Meireles moved to Anfield from Porto last August, he is believed to have done so on the understanding that talks over an improved contract would take place after twelve months.

But with no sign of talks taking place, both Juve and Inter Milan are interested in the midfielder.

The Reds have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, with Jordan Henderson joining the club in a £20million deal, and deals for midfielders Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing believed to be close.

To help balance the books, it looks increasingly likely that the Portuguese star will be offloaded in a move which will not go down well with fans.
