The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Tottenham last year, with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp believed to have been keen on the France Under-21 international towards the end of 2010.
Tottenham are not believed to have lodged a bid for Roux during the January transfer window, although a number of clubs have shown interest in the forward over the past few months.
And according to France Football, Liverpool are keen on the striker, who has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top over the last year or so.
The Merseysiders spent over £55million in January on Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll but are believed to be keen on adding an extra forward to their squad in time for the start of next season.
Roux has two years left on his contract at the Stade Francis-Le Blé and is believed to have an €8million release clause.
Several Ligue 1 sides are also keen on signing him, including Marseille, as well as Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04.
