Liverpool FC to sell Jovanovic, Cole and N'Gog in summer clearout

Liverpool are reportedly ready to offload high earners such as Joe Cole and Milan Jovanovic to reduce the wage bill ahead of new signings arriving at Anfield this summer

Jovanovic has failed to impress at the club since his arrival on a free transfer last summer and according to The Guardian will be shown the door this summer along with midfielder Cole, who also moved to Merseyside last year on a Bosman.

Jovanovic has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga, while Newcastle and QPR have been linked with a move for England international Cole in recent weeks.

The two are both earning £100,000-a-week at Anfield and are two of several players who can expect to be on the move in the coming weeks.

Full-back Paul Konchesky is also set to leave the club after being deemed a flop following his move from Fulham last summer, while Christian Poulsen and goalkeeper Brad Jones could reportedly also be sold.

In addition, Crunchsports understands striker David Ngog will also be let go should a suitable offer be made.

The future of midfielder Alberto Aquilani is also yet to be decided, with Juventus still to agree a fee for the Italy international and hoping to convince the Reds to lower their asking price for the former Roma player.

Liverpool are due to pay Roma the final £4.4m instalment of his £17m transfer fee at the end of this month.
