Arsene Wenger is reportedly putting together a £4 million bid for the Nigerian, who impressed in his first full season in the Premier League. However, it is unlikely Baggies boss Roy Hodgson will let his star make a summer move to the Emirates without a ready-made replacement in the wings.
Hodgson was recently rumoured to have tabled a £2.5 million bid for Watford's star striker Danny Graham and may be willing to release Odemwingie if the bid is successful.
Graham impressed in the Championship last season, scoring 27 goals in 49 games for the Hornets, and he revealed at the end of the season that he is desperate to play at the top level.
Competition is likely to be fierce for the striker over the summer with a number of Premier League teams interested in securing his services.
Both Swansea and QPR have made bids for the former Carlisle and Middlesbrough frontman, who is reportedly keen on a move back to the north-east with Newcastle.
