
The 57-year-old former Nice and Paris St Germain striker has been brought in as the replacement for Philippe Montanier, who has taken charge of Spanish side Real Sociedad.
Sanchez, who most recently was in charge of Ligue 2 outfit Tours and has also had a spell as manager of Japanese side Nagoya Grampus, has vowed to bring attacking flair to VA as the club bid to build on their 12th-placed finish of last season.
It is a thriving club.
