Giuseppe Rossi has committed his future to Villarreal by signing a new contract today.
The Italy striker, who had been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, has penned a new deal to keep him at El Madrigal until June 2016.
A statement on Villarreal's official website read: "Having repeatedly expressed his desire to stay at Villarreal, the striker, born in Teaneck (New Jersey, USA), will play for the Yellow Submarine for the next five years."
Rossi moved to the Spanish side from Manchester United in 2007 and has established himself as one of the leading strikers in the Primera Division.
He has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season to help Villarreal to third in the table.
The 23-year-old, whose parents are Italian, has won 13 caps for Gli Azzurri.
