The Gunners went some way to putting Sunday's Carling Cup final defeat to Birmingham City behind them with a 5-0 demolition of Leyton Orient in the FA Cup fifth round replay on Wednesday night.
Manchester United stand in their way of further progress in the competition, while the Gunners are also eyeing success in the Champions League when they meet Barcelona next week.
Three Fronts
But although Wenger's side are chasing glory on three fronts, it is the Barclays Premier League that whets the manager's appetite most as the North London outfit are just four points behind their big rivals United who lead the table with a match in hand."The Premier League is the most important thing because you win the league after 38 games. You win the Carling Cup after five or six games," said Wenger.
"I see the run-in as being tight, exciting and I don't rule out Chelsea or Manchester City because everybody can drop points everywhere and it looks like if we maintain our good run and consistency we have a good chance.
"Of course I am happy to have the rivalry with Manchester United, not because it is them but because that means we are in the race and I enjoy that.
"It's difficult to know how we approach the FA Cup game against them or how they will approach the game. For us it will be after Barcelona and for them it will be before their Champions League tie.
"Sunderland on Saturday is a vital game. We have to focus on game by game because if we beat Sunderland then we are in a great position."
