Stoke City reached their first ever FA Cup final in style with a thumping 5-0 semi-final win over Bolton Wanderers at Wembley.
The Potters stunned the Trotters with three goals in 19 minutes of the first half to effectively seal the tie.
Tony Pulis' side defied their reputation as a long-ball team as Matthew Etherington and Robert Huth both scored from 20 yards before Kenwyne Jones slotted home on the half-hour mark. Stoke were good value for their 3-0 interval lead but shellshocked Bolton were the architects of their own demise after producing a horror show at the back.
Matthew Etherington put Stoke in front in the 11th minute curling home left-footed from 20 yards after Bolton tried to play their way out of trouble at the back.
The Potters were in dreamland six minutes later when goalscoring defender Robert Huth latched onto Cahill's header clear and unleashed a volley. Jussi Jaaskelainen got both hands to it but failed to keep it out.
Stoke all but made the tie safe on 30 minutes when Jermaine Pennant robbed Martin Petrov in midfield and ran at the Bolton defence before sliding the ball past the ailing Gary Cahill for Jones to slot home with ease.
On 68 minutes Jonathan Walters scored the goal of the match, bursting forward from the halfway line, cutting inside, and curling home beautifully from 25 yards.
Walters rounded off a thumping win for the Potters with his second goal nine minutes from time.
