SAFF club competition in September?

Calcutta based daily news paper the Telegraph reported that club competition for South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) nations will be played in Dhaka from 1st to 15th September.

According to Telegraph, the SAFF secretary general Alberto Colaco confirmed the dates and stated two teams from India and Bangladesh will take part while just one slot for each country is allocated to the remaining SAFF countries, Maldives, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan.

However, FAM general secretary Shah Ismail said they haven't received any official document from SAFF regarding the tournament.

"It's not finalised yet and don't know which teams will take part. We have not received any official document" Shah said.
