Bookmakers on Tuesday morning suspended betting on Chelsea's next manager following a "surge of support" for Porto boss Andre Villas Boas to be next in charge at Stamford Bridge
As reported earlier on Tuesday, both Inter Milan and Chelsea are keen on the 33-year-old, with Porto president Pinta da Costa admitting he is helpless to stop the Portuguese leaving the club .
Unconfirmed reports on Tuesday morning in Portugal had even suggested a deal between Villas Boas and the Blues had been agreed.
Chelsea's renewed interest in their former coach saw bookmakers William Hill suspend betting on their Next Chelsea Manager market following the reports.
Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe told Crunchsports: "There are reports that he is lined up for the job with Guus Hiddink overseeing his role.
"We will wait and see whether any announcement is imminent before re-opening."
At the of closing the market, Guus Hiddink was still favourite, although Villas Boas had been slashed from 8/1 to 11/10 in a matter of minutes.
