Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng has admitted he wants to return to Germany and join Bayern Munich.
The former Hamburg man has endured a frustrating spell at Eastlands following a £10million move last summer.
The full-back made 24 appearances for City but has not played since suffering a knee injury in March.
City boss Roberto Mancini does not want to let Boateng go - but may be prepared to do a deal at the right price.
The German international said: "I want to join Bayern. They are No 1 in Germany and among the top six clubs in Europe.
"It all still depends on the price. I am very confident and I hope it works out. It will become clear in the coming weeks.
"From my side everything is clear and I want it sorted quickly.
"My twin daughters will learn Bavarian."
