The 23-year-old is believed to be high on the shopping lists of all three clubs, while Manchester City have also shown interest in the Argentina international.
Atletico coach Gregorio Manzano this week warned clubs wanting to sign Aguero that they had until July 4th to agree a fee or otherwise be forced to meet his €45million release clause.
But according to the Daily Star Sunday, Chelsea are not only prepared to meet Aguero's release clause, but they are also prepared to make a massive £50m bid designed to blow other clubs out of the water.
If successful with the bid, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will have spent £100m on strikers alone this year following the British record £50m signing of Fernando Torres from Liverpool in January.
Chelsea could still face competition from Real Madrid, who are believed to be keen on battling the Premier League side for both Aguero and Neymar (see below). And although Manzano last week insisted a move to the Bernabeu would not happen, he has also stated that he would rather see the striker join their city rivals for the full €45m than let him join Chelsea or Juventus for a lower fee.
Aguero's father-in-law, Argentina legend Diego Maradona, believes the forward will remain in the Spanish capital next season.
"He will remain in Madrid, whether it’s Atletico or Real," he told Conexion Samanta en Cuatro.
"The fans love him in Spain and will continue to do so. The Maradona family will be grateful to Spain for the rest of our lives."
Aguero earlier this month stated that he did not plan to resolve his club future until after next month's Copa America, which takes place in his native country.
