Inter Milan are reportedly ready to make a near £50million bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, who is also wanted by BarcelonaReports in Spain on Saturday claimed Spanish champions Barca had agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old, but a fee is yet to be agreed with the Gunners (see below).
But according to The People, Italian giants Inter are ready to throw a spanner in the works for the Catalan side by meeting Arsenal's valuation of the midfielder.
Inter owner Massimo Moratti is ready to sanction the big money move, with Fabregas possibly wanted as a replacement for Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder, who could leave the San Siro to join Manchester United this summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be willing to let his skipper leave the north London club, but only if the Gunners' valuation is met.
After failing with a £30m bid, Barca are believed to be hopeful of being successful with an improved offer closer to £40m, despite Arsenal reportedly wanting £50m.
Although Fabregas is keen on a return to Camp Nou, Inter's interest may well hamper the chances of that happening, unless the Champions League winners are prepared to again increase their offer.
