Neymar won't be joining Chelsea this summer, claims agent

The 19-year-old has sent the foobtall world into a spin with his performances in the Brazilian domestic competition, but it appears that his club is holding out on a lucrative transfer deal.

 

Explaining the tough stance Neymar's representative Wagner Ribeiro said: 'He will not leave. Of course he will arouse interest, that is natural because of his performances - but I guarantee you there is no proposal for him.'

The Blues made an approach in the summer last year offering a reported £19million, but this was rejected by the Santos board.

A new mooted figure has been set at £23million, however a fluctuation due to intense interest may push it even higher.
An inflated price-tag could deter the new boss Chelsea though, and with Daniel Sturridge due to return from Bolton after an impressive loan spell Neymar's signature might just be put on ice at Stamford Bridge.

The highly talented attacker burst on to the international scene for Brazil when he scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Scotland at a friendly played at the Emirates in March.
