Palacios sale key to Tottenham's swoop for Parker

Tottenham are confident of winning the race for Scott Parker if they can complete the sale of Wilson Palacios to Napoli quickly.
Parker has been promised he can leave West Ham after relegation and, although the Hammers wanted £15million for him Tottenham, believethey can strike a deal at close to half that for a Championship player.

Palacios is wanted by Napoli, who have qualified for the Champions League next season, but Spurs want to recoup the bulk of the £12m they paid Wigan for the Honduran.
