Argentina gets complicated with goalless draw against Colombia

In the match held in Santa Fe, in the Brigadier General Estanislao López stadium, Argentina disappointed and left with a 0-0 tie against Colombia, and complicated for the final round, since the team needs a victory against Costa Rica to ensure the spot for the next phase.

The game started with a more active Argentina in the attack. At the beginning of the match, the midfielder Esteban Cambiasso almost surprised the Colombian goalkeeper who had a cross in direction of the goal. The Colombian answer came with Adrián Ramos, who lost an incredible goal after a pass from Moreno.
The most amazing thing so far in the Copa America 2011 was at the foot of Moreno. In a wrong pass the defender Gabriel Milito, Ramos came face to face with Romero, dribbled and took a tackle by Burdisso, and the ball went to Moreno, with no opponent close by and with the free goal. The attacker, incredibly, kicked out.
Colombia had a few more opportunities to open the score, but the goalkeeper Romero made good saves. In the best chance of Argentina, Messi gave a great assistance to Lavezzi, who forced the goalkeeper Martínez to intervene. In the first half, Argentina proved a bit confusing on the field, chasing an organized Colombia.
Attempting to repeat what had happened against Bolivia, Argentina coach Sergio Batista putted Aguero. However, who had the first dangerous chance was Colombia. Pablo Armero almost scored with 63 in a dangerous shot. At 66, Falcao came face to face with Romero and the Argentinean goalkeeper made a fine defense.
The game did not have a better chance of danger, even with Argentina in search of the pressing goal, especially with Lionel Messi. In the last round, needing to win to at least guarantee a place as one of the third best placed, Argentina will face Costa Rica, next Monday, 11, in Cordoba, and Colombia is facing Bolivia, on Sunday, 10, in Santa Fe.
