Barcelona last night made a fresh bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, who has reportedly told his team-mates he will never play for the Gunners again.
Fabregas is keen to finally complete his move to Camp Nou by the end of the week, but the Spanish champions are yet to agree a fee for the 24-year-old.
According to the Daily Mirror, Barca on Wednesday night tabled a bid which they believe is worth £37million as it factors in 16-year-old duo Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral.
The Gunners signed both of the youngsters from the Catalans for just £350,000 each - a set amount for training fees - although Barca value them at a combined £7m.
In reality though, the latest bid is only worth £30m to Arsenal, who want £40m for the Spain international.
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell on Wednesday claimed Fabregas is desperate to return to his boyhood club on a day where several Barca players called for a deal to be done (see below).
"I like the fact that players want to come to Barcelona," said Rosell. "The situation with Cesc is still the same though.
"It would be very good if he does come back. We will just have to let things run their course and hope that they flow in our favour."
According to The Sun, Fabregas has told his Arsenal team-mates that he will never play for the club again.
Barca director Javier Bordas was quoted as saying: "It's true the player is making gestures to come to Barcelona."
