Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro last week revealed that five clubs had been given permission to speak to the 19-year-old over a £40million move from the South American club.
But in recent days, Ribeiro has insisted the Brazil international is not for sale, despite the five clubs - believed to be Real Madrid, Chelsea and Barcelona, Manchester City and Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala - being able to speak with his prize asset.
The outspoken Santos owner has now admitted, however, that Real president Florentino Perez has made an approach for Neymar following reports in Spain recently suggesting the Spanish giants were closer to agreeing a five-year deal with the teenager.
"We are interested in pleasing Neymar and we will offer him whatever is necessary for him to stay in Brazil and not go to Europe," he told La Sexta.
"Five club presidents who want to sign him and offer him a lot of money have contacted me but when the 2014 World Cup arrives, he will be here.
"[Real Madrid president] Florentino Perez is one of those who have called me, but if he had not done that, he would be a president with no vision for football."
Neymar was at the weekend urged to move to Europe by Brazil legend Ronaldo, who said staying at Santos could be seen "as a lack of ambition."
