Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes insists the Premier League champions will not make the same mistakes they made two years ago when they face Barcelona in tonight's Champions League final
The two sides meet this weekend at Wembley Stadium in a repeat of the 2009 final in Rome.
On that occasion, the Catalan giants won 2-0, dominating much of the game as United struggled after going a goal down.
And 36-year-old is out to ensure the same does not happen when United take on the Spanish champions in the 2011 final.
"There is a determination to make sure that doesn't happen again," said the former England international.
"It wasn't a nice night and the summer afterwards felt very long. This time we intend to at least give it a go."
He added: "There is no doubt the two best teams have made it to the final.
"Barcelona are the ultimate. They are what we all look to and want to play like.
"But our football can be just as good as theirs at times. We have a lot of quality too.
