Man Utd target Samir Nasri could leave Arsenal FC over pay row

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could sell Manchester United target Samir Nasri this summer after claiming the France international wants more money than the club can offer

Premier League champions United are believed to be keen on the 23-year-old, with defender Patrice Evra recently calling for the winger to move to Old Trafford this summer.

Nasri, who has been offered a new deal worth £90,000-a-week, will reportedly stay at the Emirates - but only if he is given a bigger pay rise.

According to Goal.com, the former Marseille player is looking for around £110,000-a-week which would see him on the same kind of money as captain and top earner Cesc Fabregas.

Wenger has already admitted that he will sell Nasri - and defender Gael Clichy - should new deals not be agreed in the coming weeks after telling both players that they will not be allowed to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of next season.

And speaking on French radio, the Gunners boss revealed: "We have a financial disagreement which hasn't yet been settled. We are still in discussions but we haven't agreed a deal."

But following Evra's recent comments, the Frenchman added: "One thing's for sure, we're not selling him to United."

Evra recently told L'Equipe that Nasri should head to Manchester if he leaves the north London club, saying: "Every year, you play to win trophies. That is the culture at Manchester United.

"You have the guarantee of winning something here. I have been at the club for five years now and I do not even remember how many trophies I have won; 13? 15?

"Little Prince [Nasri's nickname], if you want to become the king, you know where you have to go."
