Chelsea FC could be reported over Guus Hiddink pursuit by Turkish FA

The president of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has warned Chelsea over their pursuit of Turkey's national coach Guus Hiddink

Chelsea are keen on appointing the Dutchman as their new manager, with Blues owner Roman Abramovich earlier this week said to be confident of appointing Hiddink providing compensation issues with the Turkish FA could be resolved.

The TFF on Monday denied reports that they had agreed to let the 64-year-old leave his role as national coach following speculation that the Dutchman was on his way to Stamford Bridge.

And now TFF president Mahmut Ozgener has hinted at taking the matter to FIFA after claiming the Premier League club could have made an illegal approach for the highly-rated manager.

"Chelsea has a past record for signing players who are under contract, if the same thing happens, we will make a file of the payments we made to Hiddink and we will go to Fifa," Ozgener told Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.

An official approach for Hiddink was made by Chelsea last week, but Ozgener believes he was also approached before Turkey's 1-1 draw with Belgium.

He added: "After the Belgium game I went to the dressing room and asked Hiddink what he will do.

"He replied, ‘I will go to Turkey’s B team match and then go to South Korea for a charity match.’ But after that I learnt he said different things to the players. He should have told me what he told the players."

Chelsea would reportedly have to pay around £4million in compensation should they be successful in luring Hiddink back to west London for a second spell.
