Sevilla winger Jesus Navas could miss the remainder of La Liga season due to injury. The Spain international has suffered a stress fracture in his left leg and, depending on his recovery, is set to be absent for four to six weeks.
With La Liga season scheduled to end on the weekend of 22 May, Navas faces a race against time if he is to feature again.
Sevilla are fifth in the standings with 46 points, one more than Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao and two clear of Espanyol with seven games remaining. The Andalusian club are eight points behind fourth-placed Villarreal and the UEFA Champions League spots.
In their remaining games Gregorio Manzano's side have to face the likes of Real Madrid, Villarreal and Espanyol.
