The Tangerines have perhaps the toughest final-day assignment away at Manchester United on Sunday as five teams bid to avoid joining West Ham United in the Championship next season.
Blackpool start the weekend third bottom, just one goal better off than Wigan Athletic and one worse off than Birmingham City.
All three sides have 39 points, while Wolves and Blackburn Rovers, who meet at Molineux, are also not out of the woods, a point better off.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side are unbeaten at Old Trafford this term, but Evatt insisted he and his team-mates were up for the challenge.
come alive
"To be going into the final game still in with a chance of survival is massive for this football club and having played here for four or five years I wouldn't write this club off just yet," he told the Blackpool website."There's something special about this place and something special about the players at the club.
"I was on the bench at Old Trafford and didn't get on when I was with Derby all those years ago and it's a massive arena, but that's what these players thrive on. They come alive on the big stage and I'm confident we'll do that again on Sunday."
So tight is the battle to avoid the drop Blackpool could even stay up with defeat, provided Wigan also lose at Stoke City and Birmingham suffer a heavier loss at Tottenham Hotspur.
