Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has admitted: "Manchester United do worry me."
Guardiola got the better of Alex Ferguson's United side when they met in the 2009 final. But he believes they have to play much better than in Rome, where he thought United were better, if they are going to do it again.
Guardiola said: "Everything about Manchester United worries me, from Van der Sar in goal to Chicharito up front.
"It is one of the most complete teams I have seen in many senses.
"In Rome, they were better than us in defence and attack.
"We want to be quicker in possession this time and this is what I think after looking at it.
"We need to be better than 2009 and I have said this to my players repeatedly in recent days.
"If we play as we did in Rome, we won't win."
Guardiola admits that one player who will worry his defence is United's speedy Mexican forward Javier Hernandez, better known as Chicharito.
Guardiola said: "He is a huge surprise, amazing. The way he plays in space and arrives in the area.
"He has incredible movement and shoots quickly, so United have bought an enormous player."
While worried by United, he also knows his team can get at them.
He said: "They have a lot of strong points and a lot of weak points. We have learned about them and we have some inklings as to what we can do.
"Manchester United are as good as we are, but my players are proud of themselves, they feel responsible and they really feel good. They are ready."
Ferguson predicted this would be the final of the decade and there is no doubt Guardiola is licking his lips at the prospect of it too.
He said: "United have got to three finals in four years and Barca three in five, maybe they have done better than us, yet United have had an extraordinary decade and so have Barca.
"We want to play the best football we can play. They will be the same. When two teams play like that, I can imagine it being a good final.
"They have their strength and we have our skills, so we have to dominate our situations as best we can.
Guardiola is clearly a big fan of his opposite number Ferguson and United.
He said: "It is, and always will be, an honour to sit and compete with Alex Ferguson.
"Sadly, I don't know Sir Alex that well personally, even though we've met a couple of times.
"What I'll say is that two years ago I had tremendous respect for him and now I have even more.
"I'm too green for there to be any comparison in ethos or playing style, but you can compare Sir Alex's philosophy with that of Barcelona, perhaps best of all with that of Johan Cruyff.
"To keep winning over a long period of time, to go through two, three, four cycles of renewing a team and keep winning, that is greatness. It's an honour to be facing him again.
"When you play against a team with the history of United, you can only feel very fortunate.
"The fact United have done so well with the same coach for so long is indicative of the club."
