Gardner offered new Trotters deal

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has offered long-serving midfielder Ricardo Gardner a new deal at the Reebok Stadium.

The Jamaican joined the Trotters from Harbour View in July 1998 and has racked up over 400 appearances in all competitions for the North West outfit.
Gardner, who is out of contract in the summer, has struggled with injury this season and spent a spell on loan with Preston North End before returning to feature in five matches in the closing weeks of the season.
Coyle confirmed that fresh terms had been put to the 32-year-old and the club were now awaiting his response.
The Bolton manager said: "We've put an offer to Ricardo and we'll see what happens.
"He had a difficult season with injury but he came back and showed he wanted to be part of what we're doing.
"It's up to him. If he wants to sign, brilliant. If not, we'll move on."
