Keane keeping the faith

Keane keeping the faith

Robbie Keane is convinced West Ham United can beat the drop and hopes to play his part in helping to see them safe.

The striker is currently taking in a short-term loan deal at Upton Park, after slipping down the pecking order at Tottenham Hotspur.
Injuries have prevented him from featuring as often as he would have liked, but he has managed to net two goals in eight appearances for the Hammers.
The Republic of Ireland international is hoping to add to that tally over the next few weeks, with West Ham left with just three fixtures in which to bridge the three-point gap which separates them from Barclays Premier League survival.
"There are a few games to go and if we can get a few wins out of them, if we can get nine or seven points, that could be enough," Keane, who is preparing for crucial matches against Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic and Sunderland, said.
"It's so close down there for those of us that are involved in it, so it's difficult circumstances, but I still think we have enough to get ourselves out of it."
