Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin, who looks set to leave the Gunners this summerThe outspoken Russia international has stated on several occasions in recent months that he wants to be playing regular first-team football and a move away from the Emirates in the coming weeks is looking likely.
Juventus and former club Zenit St Petersburg have both been linked with the 29-year-old in recent weeks.
But Zenit will reportedly face competition to sign the Russian from Liverpool, with manager Kenny Dalglish reportedly keen on the playmaker.
According to bookmakers bet365, Reds boss Dalglish has pencilled in Arshavin as a £15million summer transfer target.
The Scot is a huge admirer of the player and after being handed a three-year deal by the Merseysiders last week is set to be backed big in the transfer market this summer.
Arshavin and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger are said to have problems with each other for entirely different reasons and neither is giving way.
A source said: "They both feel frustrated with their relationship but for entirely different reasons.
"The manager is demanding more from him, believing that he has far more to offer than he has shown and the player is particularly strong minded.
"He will tell it exactly as it is and doesn't feel that he's getting the crack of the whip he needs from week to week to show what he's all about."
Tottenham are also believed to be monitoring Arshavin's situation at their north London rivals.
