Manchester United are reportedly planning a summer bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema
The 23-year-old has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in recent weeks, while Premier League champions United are known to have been monitoring his availability.
Only last week, the France international's agent insisted he had no intentions of leaving the Bernabeu this summer.
But according to El Confidencial, United are preparing to launch a bid for the former Lyon forward, while Click Manchester reports that the Old Trafford club have already made contact with Los Blancos about a potential move.
Reports in the Spanish capital recently have suggested that Real boss Jose Mourinho is ready to offload Benzema to help raise funds to sign new players.
Agent Karim Djaziri last week told AS: "At no stage has Karim Benzema thought about leaving Madrid
"He has not asked me to negotiate with any club.
"The reports (about him leaving) are false. Karim only wants to continue with Real Madrid and is confirming that with his recent good performances."
Tottenham and Juventus are also believed to be interested in the Frenchman.
