Arsenal to splash the cash and offer Nasri better deal in bid to ward off United

Stan Kroenke is ready to open his chequebook in a bid to keep contract-rebel Samir Nasri at Arsenal.
And manager Arsene Wenger has called on the France international to show loyalty to the club that moulded him into one of Europe's top footballers.
There is a real fear from within the Gunners hierarchy that Nasri will leave this summer as he stalls on signing a new contract.

Talks over fresh terms have hit the buffers over Nasri's wage demands, with the midfielder wanting £20,000-per-week more than the £90,000-per-week the club have offered.
But Arsenal's stance has softened in recent days after Manchester United signalled their intent of luring Nasri to Old Trafford by asking the 23-year-old's advisors to keep them informed of his contract situation.
And the club's majority shareholder Kroenke is set to give the go-ahead to increase Nasri's original offer to nearer the £110,000-per-week he is looking for.
The new offer is also understood to include a number of lucrative performance-related bonuses.

Kroenke hopes keeping Nasri will help keep the lid on growing unrest amongst Arsenal supporters. The once unwavering support for Wenger is starting to wane after a sixth consecutive season without silverware.
That, coupled with a 6.5 per cent hike in ticket prices at the Emirates, has only increased the growing number of disgruntled Arsenal fans.
Wenger is desperate for the former Marseille man to commit his future to the Gunners. The French manager will speak to Nasri this week but wants a quick resolution to the situation to ensure he has ample time to sign a replacement in the current transfer window.
And Wenger said: 'I expect him to stay. And if you look at his career it is the club that made him the player he is today.'
