Rennes goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez will leave the club when his contract expires this summer.
The 31-year-old has been heavily linked to Paris Saint-Germain, but insists no destination has yet been agreed upon, though he expects to remain in Ligue 1.
Douchez has been with Rennes for three seasons since joining from Toulouse and told staderennais.com: "I took a long time (to decide) but I thought it was the best solution. It was the most difficult decision I have had to take. It's not obvious to leave a club where you are happy but I felt I needed a new challenge.

"The life of a footballer is full of challenges and I didn't want to take the easy option. I think if I had stayed here, I could have fallen into that mindset. I think I will be on the pitches of Ligue 1, but nothing is sorted out yet. I want to finish well in these last two games with Rennes, then we will see about the future."
During his time with Les Rouge et Noirs, Douchez played in the 2009 Coupe de France final, but it ended in disappointment as Rennes suffered a shock 2-1 loss to Ligue 2 side Guingamp.
"The moment I will remember the most is the Coupe de France final," Douchez said. "Everything was perfect leading up to it but unfortunately it ended badly. It was the biggest disappointment of my career.
"No matter what happens next, I will continue to follow the club - I have lots of friends here and I hope the club can achieve a top-five finish next season."
